WE Capture The Moments
Events are what we thrive on. Whether it’s a Birthday, Graduation, Wedding, Conference, or other Milestone, our Photography captures and records important moments.
2024 has started with a raft of events and activities, and has also involved capturing some amazing scenes of Wellington and our Natural Environment.
Our Copy and Restoration Photography has taken on a new significance with new advances in technology. We feel privileged and have enjoyed seeing a variety of family history going back to 1860!
While Families are Together, it’s a great having a Family Photo Session. Great Family photos keep families together too!

(C) Photo by Ronald D Woolf, Lake Tekapo (circa 1984)
Ronald and Inge Woolf purchased Spencer Digby Studios( which was formed in 1934.) Spencer Digby mentored many young photographers, including Brian Brake, Barry Woods and a young Ron Woolf. The studio has always been located in Central Wellington, and has adapted to the times, remaining an industry leader, and capturing important moments in peoples lives, and also recording aspects of The Wellington Region, New Zealand and further afield, in respect of landscape, wildlife and the natural and built environment. Ronald Woolf tragically passed away in a Helicopter accident in 1987. He was one of New Zealand’s leading photographers at the time of his death. His family have carried on building on his successes ever since, and Photography by Woolf remains built around quality, creativity and value for money. A large volume of the files and imagery is held by Te Papa Tongarewa and is searchable online via The Spencer Digby Ronald Woolf Collection.
